The NAWIC Guam Chapter #381 has actively supported and empowered women in the construction industry through various events and initiatives over the years. The NAWIC Guam Chapter #381’s Builder’s, Brewer’s & BBQ (BBB) event is a signature networking and fundraising gathering that brings together professionals from the construction industry and beyond. This event fosters camaraderie and collaboration among builders, contractors, suppliers, and supporters while celebrating the industry’s contributions to the local community. Attendees enjoy great food, refreshing beverages, and engaging activities in a relaxed atmosphere, all while supporting NAWIC Guam’s mission to empower women in construction. Proceeds from the event often go toward scholarships, educational programs, and community outreach initiatives, making BBB a meaningful and enjoyable tradition for the chapter.

Block Kids Building Competition

The Block Kids Building Competition is a NAWIC educational program designed to introduce children to the construction industry through a fun and engaging hands-on experience. Open to elementary school students, the competition challenges participants to use LEGO-style building blocks, along with other materials like string, foil, or paper, to create structures that reflect real-world construction concepts. Judges, including industry professionals, evaluate entries based on creativity, practicality, and design. Through this event, NAWIC Guam Chapter #381, inspire young minds to explore careers in construction, engineering, and architecture while fostering problem-solving skills and creativity.

PIZZA POP & POWER TOOLS

Pizza, Pop & Power Tools is a hands-on educational event organized by the Guam Contractor's Association in collaboration with NAWIC Guam Chapter #381, to introduce young women to careers in the construction industry. Aimed at middle and high school girls, the event provides participants with the opportunity to learn about various trades through interactive workshops, tool demonstrations, and mentorship from industry professionals. Attendees get hands-on experience using power tools, building small projects, and gaining insights into construction-related careers. Along with enjoying pizza and refreshments, the event fosters confidence and inspires young women to explore non-traditional career paths in construction.
